Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

How did you attract/address your audience?

Who would be the audience for your media product?

Who would be the audience for your media product?

I think that the audience for our media product would be mostly female teenagers and possibly adults.  The age rating of our media product was 12 but it would appeal more to older teenagers as they prefer watching horror films compared to younger teenagers. The storyline of our media product also appeals to teenagers and young adults; we wanted to make our media product similar to ‘The Woman in Black’ by doing a supernatural horror.

The Woman in Black appealed to many teenagers and some adults and due to the rating of our media product and the characters in our media product being teenagers, this will urge more teenagers to see our media product as they may find it more interesting to see teenagers in the product.

Certification and Target Audience

Certification and Target Audience

We aim for the film to be age rating 12 and the target audience to be teenagers and possibly adults. We will base the filming on the woman in black and the others. From what we have seen from these two films, we will be able to make it a 12 by using suspense and tension without gore. We will do this by creating fear through suggestion (suggesting something has happened instead of actually showing it).

This will address the audience because teenage actors will be used but will still be scary and relatable so may also appeal to adults.
